What is the CheckInHandler API?

The CheckInHandler Service API provides a unified interface for online check-in operations across TUI airlines. It validates passenger bookings against Navitaire NewSkies, determines check-in availability based on configurable time windows, and automatically routes passengers to the correct check-in product (Harmonised, Legacy, or Hybrid).

Key Capabilities

• Record Locator lookup — Resolve Third Party Record Locators (TPRL) to NewSkies PNRs
• Check-in availability — Validate credentials and determine if check-in is open for a booking
• Check-in overview — Detailed per-segment availability, document status, and pending check-in information
• Product type detection — Automatic detection of Harmonised, Legacy, or Hybrid booking types
• Deep link generation — Carrier-specific deep links for legacy check-in products
